Hiya everybody! Amber here and boy, have I found something that has made my day. Hell, it's made my week. Actually, it's made my month... ok ok. I could keep that up for a while. Anyway, I was browsing my usual TG sites last night, when I came across something in the forums at metamorphose.org. It was a teaser trailer for a new series called "Werewoman".
Check it out here:
Oh wow! I luv this! The transformation was so well done. A good use of both practical effects and CG effects. Almost something like Mako does for his/her films. Plus, the girl the guy becomes is quite the looker. She's very pretty and does a good job playing a guy shocked at having a sexy girl body. My only complaint is I wish the transformation went on longer. I just feel that they could showed more stuff on the guy changing, like his legs becoming smooth and curvy, and so on. Other than that, this was still a very well done transformation. And who knows. Maybe they'll do more stuff with the transformation from guy to girl when they make the series... which brings me to...
So I was checking out the forums at tgcomics.com, when I saw that one of the posters had sent an e-mail to the official "Werewoman" site and got this response:
[Thanks for watching our teaser. It means a lot. Feel free to share it with all your friends. We are applying for funding so we can shoot the entire first season. So yes, the story continues... Help us get funding by sharing the video. We need as many views and comments as possible.
Thanks again for the support.

So yes, they need our help to get this project funded, so they can film more of this series. Please, help get the word out. It's not everyday that we in the TG fanbase get a show or movie of this level to have TG transformations in them. At least we had "Switchers" and we have "The Hit Girl" and "Paradox Alice" coming out soon, but we should want more TG movies or shows to come out. Like "Sam" (www.imdb.com/title/tt1309379/). We've been waiting forever for that to come out and nothing seems to be happening. So please, share this video with as many people you can, especially those who are into TG transformations. Then encourage the people who are interested to check their site and their facebook and twitter pages, so that they can help support them on those sites too.
They want to make "Werewoman" into a series. We, especially in the TG community, just have to make ourselves heard.
I think you had the exact same reaction that I did. I flipped when I saw this, shared it on every message board I knew, emailed Kimberly-Sue Murray, bookmarked FB, Twitter and the website. I also made a recommendation for the website and youtube page and she (more or less) took my advice!
It looks like they won't be able to shoot more episodes until the summer, so I'm disappointed that we have to wait, but the good news is it looks like they're getting a very favorable response so funding probably won't be a problem.
I also wish the transformation was a little bit longer and show'd some more details but I love it when the actor and actress look so much alike that the could be twins. I prefer TG when the man becomes his female equivalent. But what makes me excited about this series is that it's written and produced by a woman (for a change). I don't think I've ever seen, that I'm aware of, a gender bender film written and produced by a woman.
The synopsis on the youtube page......... [Through his hilarious adventures as a man stuck inside a woman's body, he is forced to play the part and therefore overcome his own preconceptions about gender and sexuality. A journey to self-discovery, breaking barriers and finding your true identity].......really makes me wonder what direction the series will go. The plan is 8 five minute episodes over 3 seasons. Will Pat end up as Patricia for good. I sure hope so. : )
We definitely did have the same reaction. I mean, how often do we TG fans get some movie and/or show with TG in it that's this well done, with a great (although too short) transformation scene and an interesting set up for why the TG is happening (nice, how they worked in women roommates menstrual cycle syncing)? Not very often. Usually just Mako's movies. So yea, it's completely understandable why we both similarly got excited. Also, so very kewl of her to take your advice.
It does suck that they won't be able to film until the summer, but good things do come to those who wait.
I don't think I've seen many TG's with the man becoming his female equivalent. I wonder what other TG's like that are there.
And it's good to see a TG made by a woman. They better understand what us girls have to deal with as women. For example, a scene where he/she has to start wearing bras for the first time won't just be, "Ughhh! I have to wear a bra!... Damn it! How do you put one of these things on?". They can show him/her having to pick out the "right" bra. Too tight, the band could cut into your skin or the straps are digging into your shoulders. Too big, your breasts could sag because of a lack of proper support. Just saying , I like the idea of seeing a man turn into a woman, as told by a woman.
I figured you might be the only one who would appreciate this, but I found a short 5 min film staring Amber Goldfarb (the Werewoman). She plays a nervous woman on a blind date who is trying to overcome a phobia. It's a bitter/sweet little scene that showcases her acting ability and range. However, if you use your imagine it almost seems (except for the end) like a future episode of Werewoman where Patricia goes on her first date. She's really nervous and awkward but she's dolled up and looking very pretty.
They announce the finalists April 8th but they won't announce who gets funding until the end of June. [link]
So that's a long wait before we see Amber as the Werewoman. This short film is a fun way to pass the time.
Yea, I saw on either tgcomics.com or metamorphose.org that it was going to be a while before we would hear who gets the funding. That's a long wait, but a wait that is so worth it. I really hope "Werewoman" gets it.
And thank you for sending me the link to that short film. I really enjoyed. I can kind of see what you're talking about using my imagination to pretend that it's a scene from "Werewoman". That kind of works. The short film on its own is actually really nice and sweet. Plus Amber Goldfarb is a very pretty and talented actress and does a great job in her part. Loved the ending too. It was so adorable. I wish I could find a nice guy to be that sweet to me. *sigh* Thanks again for sending me that short film. I really appreciate it.
